British Fashion Council is proud to announce the new recipients for their 2022/2023 BA and MA scholarships that will cover the costs of their studies and/or projects.

The applications started to open on the 14th of June and officially closed on the 11th of July. These UK scholarships were aimed at fashion students who were currently studying for an MA or BA at a BFC College Council member college. These member colleges included London College of Fashion, Royal College of Art, Central Saint Martins, and many others. Students who were coming from different universities in the UK were finding themselves offered various types of scholarships, depending on their year of study, which covered part of their tuition fees and projects.
As explained by BFC there was a big competition between students who wanted to find themselves eligible for the scholarship but all applicants were assessed based on their talent and financial need. Students were invited to send a personal portfolio that would include different projects that they have been creating so far in their studies and references from their professors. All the material was then analyzed by the BFC staff that eventually awarded nine new MA students and fourteen new BA students across the Country.
More specifically, the types of scholarships awarded to students were seven and included scholarships for students attending their last year of an MA Fashion Design Course. This scholarship, in particular, was a huge opportunity for students, since it covered all the costs to produce their final collections.
Additionally, two of these seven scholarships were also awarded by world-known industries, such as Chanel, which offered an MA scholarship to Joshua Ewuise. The student, attending Central Saint Martins, was provided the British creative consultant and writer Amanda Harlech as a mentor support for the duration of the scholarship. In addition to that the Chanel MA Scholarship also covered his course tuition fees, course costs, and living expenses, making his studies easier and more enjoyable.
Another scholarship came from Dior Men, who offered their Dior Men MA Scholarship to the Royal College of Art student, Annabel Balance. Students awarded with this scholarship were provided with direct contacts from Dior Men’s design team, who offered advice and mentoring support throughout the scholarship.
